Carolina wrens are found in the eastern part of the United States, Southern portions of Canada and extreme northeast of Mexico. These wrens pair with long-term mates and often nest in nooks and crannies such as porch lights, hanging plants, fence posts or under bridges, to name a few. Some pairs may mate for life and if conditions are right, nests may be used more than once. Carolina Wrens are song birds and sing throughout the year. The male is know to sing up to 40 different song types. Females also sing, often resulting in duets.
